Roman Research Nexus Terms & Conditions
- These terms and conditions apply to all Nexus individual and team account
users.
- You are responsible for all activities that are initiated under your account
credentials; misuse will result in suspension of account privileges.
- You must not allow a third party to use or access your account using your MyST
credentials.
- You are not allowed to commercialize the Nexus.
- You must immediately report unexpected activity or activity that you don't
recognize in your account to the Roman Help Desk.
- Access and use of the Nexus is authorized only for the purpose of conducting
research projects relevant to Roman science.
- Team account administrators are responsible for adding team members to their
team accounts.
- All Nexus users must have a MyST account.
- You are responsible for familiarizing yourself with the Nexus, the services
provided, and the specific
Nexus documentation.
- You must not (i) attempt to derive or gain improper access to any component of
the Nexus, in whole or in part; (ii) interfere with, or disrupt the integrity or
performance of the Nexus, or any data or content contained therein.
- You are responsible for making the best use of the credits allocated to your
account, monitor the credit usage using the tools provided, pay attention to credit
usage notifications, and address any issues communicated to you by Nexus
personnel.
- Support from Nexus personnel is limited and does not include assistance with
optimizing users' code. Please refer to the Nexus Documentation for
additional information.
- Credits for using the Nexus are allocated to individual and team accounts
pending availability of NASA funding.
- Credit allocation, additional credits request, and account closeout policies are
documented in the Nexus
Documentation.
- You must not access or use the Nexus in any manner or for any purpose that
infringes, misappropriates, or otherwise violates any Intellectual Property Right or
other right of any Person, or that violates any applicable law, including the upload
of "Prohibited Content".
- You must adhere to the license terms for any software you run on the Nexus,
when applicable.
- You are responsible for (i) using the Nexus in a reasonable manner such that
your use does not place an undue burden on its infrastructure; (ii) any security
vulnerabilities within your code or its dependencies.
- The Nexus/STScI is not responsible for any data loss or service interruption.
- You must follow AWS Acceptable Use
Policy.
- By using the Nexus, you agree to at Space Telescope Science
Institute's privacy policy.
- We reserve the right to terminate your account, suspend services, or remove
content without notice if the terms and conditions of usage are not met.
